JOB PURPOSE:
Rust-Oleum Corporation is a worldwide leader in protective paints and coatings for both home and industry. We offer a wide product range including decorative fashion paints, durable industrial coatings and, of course, the famous rust-fighting formula that started it all.
The primary result expected from the SAP Basis Lead will be to support company business objectives by ensuring that SAP runs with no issues. Seeking for a seasoned professional in SAP Basis administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Hands on BASIS consultant who can build and run SAP environments proficiently
2. Responsible for ensuring solutions are built, tested and cutover into production environments
3. Serve as key liaison between Offshore Basis team at India location and Rust-Oleum Basis admin at US
4. Participates in projects for SAP ECC, BW, Solution Manager and SAP CPI systems and own the Basis end of the activities
5. Responsible for system monitoring, system upgrades and support pack updates
6. Plan, prioritize & co-ordinate projects along with regular support and system monitoring tasks for offshore team
7. Partner with Business Applications Team member – onsite & offshore to deliver as needed on the Basis end
8. Provides off-hour support as needed
9. Develops system support documentation and procedures according to Rust-Oleum standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley legal requirements
10. Conducts technical research with Basis recommendations for actions into IT related topics
11. Prepares reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status to the concerned stakeholders
12. Works with the Infrastructure Team in designing, configuration and testing of Disaster Recovery and High Availability environments
EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of 12 years of experience using skills as a seasoned professional in SAP Basis administration of which minimum 5 years of IT leadership experience.
2. Excellent communication and interaction skills
3. Experience in managing technical teams in complex projects in multinational environment (leading internal, 3rd party and external partners)
4. International team Management - Able to assimilate and respectfully coordinate various cultural gaps
5. Building effective teams and holding them accountable for results
6. BASIS tasks should include extensive experience in (but not limited to): Landscape Management (public & private cloud), Transport Management, SP Patching, EHP Upgrades, Securing the environment from Cyber-attacks, Solution Manager, Technical Monitoring, Capacity Management, Database administration(Oracle & HANA), Performance Tuning
7. OS DB Migration , SAP/Database Upgrades, Cloud Migration, Backup/restore Setup and Test based on Oracle/HANA database
8. Work with SAP to understand latest technical solutions and deploy fit for purpose solutions that are scalable and meet performance requirements
9. Expertise in SAP technologies: Basis, ECC, S/4, HANA, SOLMAN, ABAP, NetWeaver, Fiori, Web Dispatcher, SSO 3.0 Solutions, Data Archiving, Oracle, refreshes, Upgrades and updates, Migrations etc
10. Deep knowledge of SAP system installations and administration, as well as deep understanding of the SAP architecture and multiple application modules, particularly strong SAP NetWeaver platform knowledge.
11. Experience in implementing and managing SAP on cloud platform as well as on-prem solutions
12. Experience with Solution Manager and transport management processes; experience defining / operating SAP transport paths in a complex technical architecture
13. Experience with system sizing, storage management, database sizing/management, backups, and disaster recovery for SAP systems
14. Expertise with SAP Tuning, Troubleshooting, debugging related to system performance is required
15. Experience with technical project management and / or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities
16. Proven track record for completing projects in specified deadlines
17. Ability to work both in a team environment and independently, as required
18. Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate technical and non-technical information, ideas, procedures, and processes
19. Maintains a positive work environment through teamwork and conflict resolution, strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
20. Knowledge of infrastructure, network, and operating systems
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
SAP certifications – SAP Sytems and HANA administration and any other related certifications
